ABOUT

The Climb Girls’ Resiliency Conference is a yearly conference organized by the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre (CACAC) and its Climbing Tree Mentorship Program.

The Climb dedicates a full school day to empowering high school girls and providing them with invaluable skills to navigate the challenges of anxiety, social pressures, and self-esteem issues. Our mission is to uplift our youth and lay the groundwork for resilience and self-worth in a world that can be particularly demanding for young girls.

Recognizing the alarming prevalence of criminal acts targeting females, we understand the critical importance of equipping these young women with the tools to make informed choices, stay safe, and achieve personal success. Participants are carefully selected by school counsellors based on their vulnerability and likelihood of experiencing negative learning patterns and behaviours.

The Climb is offered at no cost to participants, allowing us to focus on empowering these young girls without financial barriers. Community sponsorship helps to cover the costs of conference materials, venue rentals and food and beverages throughout the day.
